Test Engineer

Position Description:

We are looking for a candidate that can lead vehicle program energy management (primarily Fuel Economy) development from preprogram start to post-certification. Lead development and implementation of systems engineering to achieve best in class fuel economy. Develop CAE vehicle fuel economy models to walk to future model years. Engineer proposals to achieve fuel economy targets and work with interfacing engineering activities to ensure successful implementation. Vehicle testing and validation of subsystem performance on global fuel economy drive cycles. Develop timing and test plans for design validation work. Competitive analytical forecasting of fuel economy capability. Competitive BIC vehicle testing and data analysis. Responsibilities: • Lead the integration of Fuel Economy and/or Performance Feel on current and forward model programs from pre-program start to post-certification. • Ensure robust execution of Vehicle Energy Management Engineering (VEME) attribute deliverables for program milestones and engineering gateways to ensure program content is compatible with attribute target achievement. • Manage interface between Program and Engineers, from the target setting process through development, verification, and certification phases. • Lead development and implementation of systems engineering to achieve targeted fuel economy while delivering performance feel DNA. • Develop CAE vehicle fuel economy and performance feel models. • Develop timing and test plans for design validation and conduct vehicle testing and validation of subsystem performance on various duty cycles. • Support vehicle drive events including preparation of all communication documents. • Champion attribute issue resolution plans.
