Position Description:

: Position Duties: •Understand and consistently apply standard manufacturing operating systems •Support Work Groups for short and long term countermeasures of all abnormalities •Validate and bridge operational needs as required to ensure the line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts •Strategic planning and coordination of Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) activities to achieve Safety, Quality, and Productivity objectives •Communication and Recognition •Build Team Leader and Team Member capability •Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks •Basic Administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents

Skills Required:

oBody shop/stamping/paint/subassembly experience preferred oSafety and Quality experience preferred oKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles oKnowledge of constraint management principles oMicrosoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook) oPrior experience managing a unionized work force

Experience Required:

oAbility to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends oAbility to work independently with limited supervision oCapable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput oStrong organizational and administrative skills oAbility to multi-task oStrong problem-solving force
