Product Engineer – Interior Cockpit

Responsibilities:

Engineering Job Description & Responsibilities

  • Drive the development process for product developed with inside and co-design
  • Design, release, and validate Cockpit systems and components (IP, Console, & Door Trim Systems & Components and Cross Car Beam Structures (Steel Welded Assemblies and/or Cast Structures)
  • Lead the process from inception through launch.
  • Proposes feasible solutions
  • Lead the team through the product development process
  • Develop DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans
  • Support engineering business planning for Interiors
  • Manage Engineering metrics
  • Create material for technical reviews
  • Support process development

Qualifications:

Engineering Education Required

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Required Engineering Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience industry, in automotive product development for Interior or Body Exterior programs
  • 1 year or more of experience developing of DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans
  • 1 year or more of experience utilizing MS Office experience (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience with development of cockpit components and DFSS
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, self-management and organizational skills

Preferred engineering Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years of experience with Design, Release or, manufacturing of Interior cockpit systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Catia V5, NX, Team Center and OEM business systems

Engineering Education preferred

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
