Engineering Technician
The Level 2 Technician will install and configure new hardware and software, and provide technical support to users and customers. Level 2 support can be in the IT Office or at the user’s location. Large scale deployment and configuration of new hardware experience required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide Level 2 technical support on Computers and workstations.
• Implement and support of new hardware and software.
• Implement and support of corporate standard software.
• Provide hardware support of standard computer equipment including printers and scanners.
• Provide technical support to users and customers on computers and software.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience (required):
• Associate degree and CompTia A+ certification or equivalent experience
• Large scale hardware deployment and project management
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience within Information Technology
• Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. lawful permanent resident allowing for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (required):
• Be able to answer calls from users and troubleshoot issues.
• Knowledge of Information Technology infrastructure including PCs, printers, telecommunication platforms, and server and network technology
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks successfully in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors, team members, and cross functional teams.
• Experience with MS Office programs; MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
• Ability to configure and deploy: PCs, Servers and Network Equipment.
